Ingredients

750g Chicken wings or wingettes

salt and white pepper to taste

1 dessertspoon tomato sauce

1 dessertspoon BBQ sauce

1 dessertspoon Mushroom soy

1 dessertspoon light soy

2 dessertspoons oil

Method

In a heavy base or non-stick fry pan add the oil and heat it up on moderate to high heat.  Season the wings lightly with salt or just white pepper as you desire because the salt content in the sauces will be salty already,  just check for seasoning and add more salt as needed when cooked.  When the pan is hot add the wings and brown it by stir-frying it for roughly 10 minutes.  Now add all the sauces and stir and cook with the cover on and lower the heat to simmer for another 10 minutes or until it is fully cooked. Serve by themselves or over a bed of rice or with noodles.  I served mine over Asian spinach and rice as a main but it could also be served as a starter.  Yum!

Variations and My Story

A great favourite of our students from any country.  Chicken can be cooked on the BBQ too but marinate it with all the ingredients for at least 30 minutes before cooking on the barbie as you would normally till the wings are fully cooked. Wings can also be place in the oven for roughly 30 minutes and turning it over once to brown evenly.
